Cal Mees said: "I am a lifetime hockey player, I started playing ice hockey when I was 6 years old in Bismarck, North Dakota. At age 61, I love playing hockey even more now than when I was a kid. As a member of the Dallas Warriors disabled veterans hockey team, I work with the team to create awareness and support for the team and its individual military veteran members.

"My motivation for setting these World Records came out of my love for the sport of ice hockey , the countless incredible memories and camaraderie of friends it has created for me, and my desire to create more awareness for my veteran brothers on my Dallas Warriors disabled veterans hockey team.

"Although it was a lot of work to set up and the event was tiring, I had the time of my life achieving these World Records."
