Most road signs per kilometer: The Four Brothers village sets world record
PATRU FRATI, Ialomita County, Romania--In the village of Patru Frati (Four Brothers), Ialomiţa County, Romania, there are no less than 200 indicators over a distance of only nine kilometers; the village road sets the world record for the Most road signs per kilometer, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.

In a certain area, at a distance of about 30 meters, there are no less than seven traffic signs, which means that from 3 to 3 meters there is an indicator.

"If you go from the edge of the village to the edge of the village there are signs that do not indicate what is needed. They are placed in reverse, too close to each other," said one resident.

Not only the number of signs surprises in the village of Four Brothers, but also the location of pedestrian crossings. Some are either curved, not visible, others end with a ditch.

The mayor says that he is not to blame for the pile of signs, because the road that crosses the small village is a county and its modernization was not done with money from the local budget.

The road signs from Four Brothers have cost 200,000 lei (U$ 45,000.00), and the money comes from the budget of the Ialomiţa County Council. In 2012, the 200 indicators were set following the rehabilitation of 20 kilometers of County Road 201 A, Moldoveni-Adâncata, the daily Libertatea reports.
