Most crosswalks per square kilometer: The City of Suceava sets world record
SUCEAVA, Romania--In the city of Suceava, on Bogdan Voda Street, a dead end (cul-de-sac) street with less than 300 meters and on which there are 28 houses, from Zamca area, the builder who modernized the street marked nine pedestrian crossings, thus setting the world record for the Most crosswalks per square kilometer (Most pedestrian crossings), according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.

Not only too many zebras are a problem, but also sidewalks. They are very narrow, and on some portions it is impossible to move because the pillars have been left or "forgotten" in the middle.

"The widest portion of the sidewalk is 70 cm, and the narrowest 30 cm, so that even if only two people are traveling at a time, they must walk in an Indian row or one on the street and one on the sidewalk. There is no talking about a stroller for children, because it does not fit on the sidewalk made in miniature,"the Monitorul de Suceava reported.

"Asphalting works on Bogdan Voda street have recently been completed, after a long wait, for over 40 years, until now it is "earthy", although it is located in a central area of the municipality."

"I think we will have to take measures with those who check, because if there is something wrong, it breaks in our head. Everyone is responsible and must be responsible for what they do, sign and paraphrase. We approve investments, which means design and execution is up to others, who are specialists in the field and must answer for what is being done ”, said Deputy Mayor Lucian Harşovschi.

A pedestrian crossing (primarily British English) or crosswalk (primarily American English) is a place designated for pedestrians to cross a road, street or avenue. Marked pedestrian crossings are often found at intersections, but may also be at other points on busy roads that would otherwise be too unsafe to cross without assistance due to vehicle numbers, speed or road widths. They are also commonly installed where large numbers of pedestrians are attempting to cross (such as in shopping areas) or where vulnerable road users (such as school children) regularly cross.
