Casey, Illinois, United States--The wooden shoes located in the Casey Candy Depot in Casey, Illinois, United States, behind the World's Largest Mailbox on W Main St., made by Jim Bolin, Dustin Regul, and Corey Foster, are over 11 feet wide each and nearly 5 feet tall, weighs approximately 2500 pounds each and sets the world record for being the World's Largest Wooden Shoes, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.

"The Wooden Shoes are housed in a historic downtown building that dates back to the late 1800s. Once located along the Doty Railroad, the building is now home to Wildflour Bakery and Candy Company," the Big Things in a Small Town says.


"The Wooden Shoes gained the World's Largest title on October 20, 2015. Each Shoe weighs approximately 2500 pounds. To give an example of the size of the clogs, as part of a photoshoot, 15 people were able to stand inside one shoe. ​


"Coins thrown into the Shoes are donated to the Big Things Small Town Funds to continue to promote Casey and keep tourist areas looking beautiful."

"You’d need some pretty big feet to fill the World’s Largest Wooden Shoes. In fact, 15 people once stood in just one of these giant shoes as part of the photo shoot," the Olio in Iowa says.



"At 4 feet, 9 inches tall and 11 feet, 5 inches long, these wooden shoes are substantial, weighing approximately 2,500 pounds each. You’ll find the supersized shoes in the historic building that now houses Wildflower Bakery and Candy Co.


"But this attraction also helps visitors support the community. The tradition goes that any money thrown into the wooden shoes is donated to the local food pantry."

"These big wooden shoes measure 11 feet, 5 inches long by 5 feet 10 inches wide and 4 feet 10 inches tall. The pair was created by Jim Bolin (the man responsible for all of Casey’s world’s largest things). To make the giant clogs, he glued wooden boards together, then shaped and carved them with a chainsaw and hand sanders," the Silly America says.


"Each wooden shoe weighs over 1,500 pounds and can fit fifteen people (though you’re encouraged not to climb in). The world’s largest clogs were verified by Guinness World Records on October 20, 2015.


"Like all Casey, Illinois roadside attractions, this one is adorned with an appropriate Bible scripture. This one from Ephesians 6:15: Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with preparedness of the gospel of peace."
