"Bayshore Boulevard is a waterfront road on Hillsborough Bay in South Tampa, Florida. Located south of downtown Tampa, its sidewalk, at 4.5 miles (7.2 km) long, is 10 feet (3.0 m) wide and is the longest continuous sidewalks in the United States.

"Known as one of the longest continuous sidewalks in the United States, Bayshore Boulevard is 4.5 miles of scenic views paralleling Tampa Bay. En route, you'll pass by some of Tampa's most prestigious homes, many on the National Historic Register, in Old Hyde Park.," the official website says.

"This 10 foot-wide sidewalk starts on the north at the Columbus Statue Park at Platt Street and ends at Gandy Boulevard. A three mile on-road bike lane also exists along the north-bound lane of Bayshore Boulevard between Rome Avenue and Gandy Boulevard.

"As a result of the Bayshore Boulevard Task Force study recommendations, additional sidewalks on the west side of Bayshore Boulevard were constructed by the City Department of Public Works. Additional improvements to Bayshore Boulevard will enhance pedestrian accessibility to the trail.

"The Bayshore Boulevard Greenway is part of the regional trails system and is designated one of several priorities."
