SAN RAFAEL, CA, United States --A total of 180 people celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing
by doing the Moon Walk dance at the Marin County Fair on July 3rd, 2019, during an event organized by the Space Station Museum
, thus setting the new world record for the Largest Moon Walk Dance
, according to the World Record Academy.
"Although we had hoped for 500 participants, this was a great experience
for the local community, and there is serious consideration about
organizing another world record attempt with the World Record Academy, to break this record at the
2020 Marin County Fair. In fact, several astronauts want to participate
in future world record attempts!" says Kenneth
