"Hundreds of people celebrate National Pretzel Day in the Pretzel City in the ultimate way by breaking the record for the largest image of the salty snack made by humans," the KWQC reports.

"The world record was established in 2019 in Guinness with 424 people, then was broken in France in 2024 when 529 people formed the snack.

"Saturday, April 26, 603 people came together at the Freeport Art Museum Art Plaza in downtown Freeport to create a giant human pretzel, setting a new world record. Organizers said this was the perfect way to kick of the city’s Pretzel Fest."

"The largest human pretzel image consists of 424 participants and was achieved by Brezelbäckerei Ditsch GmbH (Germany) in Oranienbaum, Germany, on 31 August 2019," the Guinness World Records says.

"The record attempt was the highlight of their 100th anniversary celebration."
