Most Pull Ups In A Month (Mixed Grip): Jordan Veiga sets world record

Carlsbad, California, United States--Jordan Veiga, a full time accountant, completed 31,125 mixed grip pull ups in a 30 day time frame, thus setting the world record for the Most Pull Ups In A Month (Mixed Grip), according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY, while raising awareness for mental health.

"I have never been more proud of myself. I worked extremely hard to accomplish this goal, says record holder Jordan Veiga.

"Over these past 30 days, I pushed my body to the extreme, overcame doubt and negativity, and inspired many people in the process. Before I started this project, many people told me that 1,000 pull ups a day was impossible. I wanted to show people that with hard-work, dedication, and consistency that you can accomplish anything in life. I am excited to continue this journey for the rest of 2023."

The world record attempt was sponsored by Bullbar.

"I wanted to take on this project because I noticed there were no pull up world records past 24 hours. After much research, I wanted to become the first person to set the one month record, 6 month record, and year record. I encourage others to attempt to break my record to see what the human body is truly capable of.

"The most memorable quote from the day was from local council member,
Melanie Burckholder. She told me, “One of her close family members struggled with mental illness…. Mental Health is something that she is very passionate about, and that she is proud that I am taking on a project like this.” This quote from her made this world record journey worthwhile for me."

How the record was verified/measured?

"Each pull up repetition is video recorded and live streamed on Youtube every morning. I have two cameras. One back camera and one bar view camera to make sure every pull up is done properly. In addition to this, I have my own logbook where every rep is logged and timestamped to the exact minute."

The record was also verified online and verified by the sport specialists of the World Record Academy as well as by sports fans from all over the world who had the opportunity to follow the entire event live online

"The day of the event was awesome! Although it was raining on the day that I set the record, but that didn't stop me from setting the record. All I needed was a pull up bar and my gloves to get the job done.

"We had fun and made it a great day. I had many friends/family, coaches, and the Mayor of Carlsbad (photo above) visit me."

"One of my favorite statements of the day was from my father. He gave me a big hug and told me that he was proud of me... My entire life I always wanted my parents and family to be proud of me. January 30th, I felt like I truly made them proud."

World Record Academy: Why/how did you choose us to register this record?

Jordan Veiga: "Because I want to make an impact on the world in 2023. Guinness World Records denied my request to work with them in November of 2022. I had a bad experience with GWR. They decided to shut down my dream to always set a world record. They told me in several different emails that they are not willing to work with me, and that I will need to find someone else to work with. Now, I am happily working with WORLD RECORD ACADEMY."
