World's Largest Sewing Needle Sculpture: world record set in Sacramento, California
SACRAMENTO, California, United States--Poking up from the Meissner Sewing Center building in Sacramento, California, is a tall needle with a rope of thread drooping from it which sets the world record for being the World's Largest Sewing Needle Sculpture, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.
"Today the company’s needle in the sky serves as a Sacramento landmark and a testament to the Meissner family’s more than 85 years in the sewing business," the official website says.
"Giant Needle and Thread: outside of Meissner Sewing is a giant needle and thread. It is conveniently along the highway -- no need to pull over. You can just gawk as you pass, the Roadside America reports.
"Poking up from the Meissner Sewing Center building is a tall needle with a rope of thread drooping from it. Visible on the edge of the northbound exit."
