DeForest, Wisconsin, United States--A fiberglass giant pink elephant with glasses, also known as “Pinkie the Elephant” or “Pinky the Elephant” is a roadside attraction in DeForest, Wisconsin; situated near a Shell gas station and convenient store with fresh and local goods. at 4995 County Rd. V, it's the World's Largest Pink Elephant Statue, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.


"Life sized, wears giant eyeglasses. The adjacent gas station sells a variety of Pinkie souvenirs," the Roadside America reports.


"The fiberglass elephant was manufactured by Sculptured Advertising in Sparta, WI. It found its first home in front of the Pink Elephant Supper Club in Iowa in 1963 before finding a permanent place in Wisconsin. While Pinkie has traded ownership over the years, the statue has attracted visitors of all generations for 70+ years," the 608 Today reports.

"The giant pink elephant has stood by the roadside for decades, greeting the countless visitors who have stopped for photos,"the Only in Your State reports.

DeForest is a village in Dane County, Wisconsin, United States, along the Yahara River. The population was 10,811 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Madison Metropolitan Statistical Area.


"Travelers on I-90/94 in need of gas should exit at Highway V to find Pinkie the Pink Elephant at the nearby Shell Station. This giant fiberglass sculpture, styled with hipster black-rimmed glasses, is hard to miss. What started as a way to get customers to the gas station has evolved into the perfect selfie spot.
