World's largest green olive: world record set in Corning, California

CORNING, California, United States--A 15-foot-tall green olive (aka Giant Green Olive) built of adobe and skewered by a similarly supersized red toothpick sits at the edge of an olive grove in honor of Corning, the Olive City; it sets the world record for being the World's Largest Green Olive, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.

TESTIMONIALS from Google Reviews

"Great pic opportunity. Be careful as traffic can get crazy at that corner.

"Corning is one of the largest producers of Olives in the state! This giant olive represents the agriculture in this area."

"Goofy and funny. Kids thought this was hilarious. Stayed for about 3 minutes. It's on a busy intersection, but surrounded by olive groves. Great stop on a long trip."

"Fun wayside stop at a busy intersection. Not a good place for small or wild children. Or loose dogs. Limited roadside parking across the street. Be careful about venturing into the olive trees as there are pipes and lines to trip over and you don't know if they have been sprayed."
