World’s Largest Six-Pack of Beer: world record set in La Crosse, Wisconsin

La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States--The giant beer cans used as storage tanks for City Brewing Company in La Crosse, Wisconsin hold a whopping 688,200 barrels of beer — that’s enough to fill 7,340,796 cans, thus setting the world record for being the World's Largest Six Pack of Beer, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.

"What is extra special about these giant beer cans is that they not only look like real (albeit oversized) cans of beer, they actually contain real beer!", the Silly America reports.

"Constructed in 1969, the LaCrosse six pack originally advertised Heileman’s “Old Style Lager.”

In 2000, however, the Heileman brewery closed leaving the fast-aging beer cans in a state of disarray. Luckily, the plant was later bought out and is again making beer…complete with a fresh new look for this giant six pack of beer!"

"It definitely looks like a giant six pack of beer, and a helpful sign in front says that it would fill over 7 million twelve-ounce cans, which "would provide one person a six-pack a day for 3,351 years," the Roadside America reports.

"The tanks contain a total of 22,220 barrels of beer, or 688,200 gallons/7,340,796 cans. If you placed all the cans end to end it would run 565 miles long. The World’s Largest Six-Pack would provide one person a six-pack a day for 3,351 years. And best of all: Starting the day you were born, if you were to drink a 12 oz cup of beer on the hour, every hour, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you’d have to live to be about 120 years old to finish just one of the World’s Largest Six-Pack cans."
