Worlds largest thrift store: Selinsgrove's Community Thrift Store & Donation Center sets world record
Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, United States--Claiming 74,000 square feet of space, Community Thrift Store & Donation Center's main goal is to raise money that is then distributed to a variety of local organizations, including schools, churches, temples, synagogues, and non-profits; it sets the world record for being the World's Largest thrift store, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.
"The massive thrift store also initiated the Care Card Program, in conjunction with several local organizations, providing those in need with a card that allows them to shop at Community Aid's locations, for clothes and shoes, for free," the Only In Your State reports.
"Community Aid Thrift Store features in-store promotions throughout the week. Wednesday, for example, is Family Day with shoppers receiving half off of all items, except those already on sale."
