Highest Altitude Live DJ Performance, world record set above Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona, Spain--Burak Yeter ascended to 55,000 ft (about 16,700 m) above Earth in a stratospheric balloon launched from Barcelona, Spain, and delivered a live, uninterrupted one-hour DJ from inside a specially designed capsule with his One Day In Space project, setting the new world record for the Highest Altitude Live DJ Performance, according to the WORLD RECORD ACADEMY.

His aim was to demonstrate that "music has no limits" by fusing creativity, technology, and aviation, turning the edge of the atmosphere into an unprecedented stage This historic performance not only secured a world record but also captured global attention through its livestream, underscoring Yeter's mission to inspire and push the boundaries of live music.

This moment was a dream come true," Yeter said.

"I wanted to show that with passion and innovation, even the sky is not the limit."

"I was definitely feeling nervous. It was my dream when i was 5 years old. Later the dreams come true with our own capsule. The idea was born four years ago during the pandemic which was the perfect time for the project.

Collaborators included Pioneer DJ, DJ Mag, We Rave You, with engineering support from Zero II Infinity and Ultramagic Balloons/Globuskontiki, ensuring safety and technical excellence."
